Review Conference of the International Criminal Court: A Brief Report on Outcomes
Adam Bower
As part of his doctoral dissertation research, Adam Bower recently attended (as an
accredited observer), the first Review Conference of the International Criminal Court,
held in Kampala, Uganda, between May 31 and June 11, 2010. Bower’s research trip was funded, in part, through a small grant from UBC’s SDF Program. What follows is a brief review of the outcomes of the Conference. Of particular interest to those in Canada’s security and defence communities is the incorporation of a definition of aggression into the Rome Statute.
