On CBC Radio One's WORLD REPORT, April 18, 2005, Tom Parry reported that the federal NDP is rethinking its defence policy. New Democrat MP's are talking about a new defence paper by University of British Columbia academic Michael Byers. It recommends boosting defence spending, while at the same time backing away from military cooperation with the U-S.
